Prague

On Saturday 12th, we visite done of the most symbolic cities in Europe: Prague, capital of the Czech Republic.

When we arrived there by coach, we were welcome by several former students of Gymnázium Jihlava, who are now studying at Prague University, and who acted as tourist guides around the city.

We were shown the most representative landmarks. We started with the Castle, huge architectonic complex were the headquarters of the President of the Republic is. We could see the change of the guard and the Cathedral, and we went downhill to the river Vltava. N

We visited John Lennon’s wall, we crossed Charles IV bridge and we went into the Old Square, were we could see the famous astrologic clock.

After visiting Franz Kafka’s house, we enjoyed some free time to have lunch and do some shopping.

Although we had been told about the city, Prague surprised us with its beauty and vitality.
