Description of the project:

Goal of the project is to continue and to deepen successful cooperation with the school IES Valle del Arlanza in Lerma, Spain. In 2011 Gymnázium Jihlava together with this school finished bilateral project Comenius – Projects of school partnerships. Its main communication language was English and the topic was: CS-wec - Czechspain: walking towards European citizenship.

In terms of further cooperation in 2012-2014 in the project Comenius – individual mobility of students we used Spanish as the main communication language. In the course of two years twelve students took part in three month mobilities, six from each school.

In the new project we’d like to take advantage of our gained experience and continue in organizing long-term mobilities. We’ll also use the grant money for working on mutual topic – music. Students of Gymnázium Jihlava will introduce Czech music, Gustav Mahler and songs, dances and folk costumes of the region Horácko to the Spanish audience. The Spanish will introduce renaissance composer and organist Antonio de Cabezón, who was born in the region of Burgos, and also typical regional music and dances.
