Presentation of the life and work of Gustav Mahler
On Thursday, March 5 as every day we arrived at eight and a half to school. Together with our Spanish friends in the school library we started preparing an exhibition dedicated to Gustav Mahler, who we wanted within project present.
The presentation of the life and work of Gustav Mahler, in English, prepared and commented Eliška Petříková. After a shorter version in Spanish interpreted Rudolf Lang and Kristýna Metelková.
Part of our presentation was an exhibition of panels, which we had brought with us and which were texts and images of Jihlava at the time of Mahler's life. All texts we had translated, before the trip to Lerma, to English and Spanish students arranged the English translation to the Spanish version. Beside each panel was a Czech student and a Spanish student Together they reviewed the information and the pictures and answered, in English or Spanish, questions of teachers and students.
First we presented to students of the third and fourth years (students aged 14-16). Then we sang some songs from our repertoire on the steps at school. The second time was given to older students. I think all the students and teachers liked our presentation.
